OUR HISTORY
Established in 1886, Waynesburg Milling Company has been a cornerstone of the Greene County community for over 130 years. What began as a small, cutting-edge operation known as the New Process Mill—producing 600 bushels of wheat daily—became a foundation of the community, providing essential flour to local farmers and families. The mill played a vital role in Waynesburg's evolving business district, which was then home to a railroad depot and a growing residential area.

In 1928, the mill entered a new chapter when Charles B. Blair purchased the operation, marking the start of a remarkable family legacy. Charles maintained the mill’s operations through the decades, grinding flour until 1941 when he transitioned to producing livestock feeds. It was during this time that WAYCO Feeds, the company’s own trademark brand, was introduced in the 1940s—cementing Waynesburg Milling as a trusted name in agriculture and animal care.

In 1972, the mill transitioned to the third generation of Blair family when Jeanette B. Lindsay and her husband, Don Lindsay, purchased Waynesburg Milling Company, continuing the legacy of this long-established family business. The acquisition marked a pivotal moment in the mill’s history, bringing a new energy to the operation. Under their stewardship, Waynesburg Milling grew into a beloved community hub, offering not just feed and farm supplies, but also pet products, gifts, and a source of local news.

Waynesburg Milling Company expanded and diversified its offerings, continuing to ensure that the needs of farmers, pet owners, and garden enthusiasts alike were met. The Lindsay family was committed to maintaining the mill's reputation for high-quality products and personalized service, which helped it to continue thriving in a changing economy.

​The company’s journey hasn’t been without hardship. A fire tragically destroyed the original mill in 2001. However, thanks to the unwavering support of the Blair family, loyal customers, and the community, Waynesburg Milling Company rebuilt. We now operate out of a 6,000 sq. ft. facility on the same site, carrying on the legacy of quality products and exceptional service.

​Today, Waynesburg Milling Company continues its legacy as a trusted provider of a wide range of products, including barn and veterinary supplies, equine and livestock products, gift items, and lawn and garden essentials. We also offer pest control, pet supplies, tools, fencing, and products for wild birds and wildlife. With a rich history and a commitment to quality, we remain a reliable source for the community's agricultural and gardening needs.

First, we’ve upgraded our equipment, which means faster and more efficient service. We also continue to expand our product offerings, bringing in new items that cater to the growing needs of our farm, pet, and garden-loving community. From specialty feeds to unique pet supplies, we’re always looking for ways to provide you with the best products on the market.

We’re also excited to announce that we now offer local delivery in addition to our traditional on-farm silo grain delivery.
​
In addition, we’ve started planning fun and engaging monthly events, such as Pet Pictures with Santa and informational sessions on farming, pet care, and gardening. These events have been a great way to connect with our community and learn something new.
